摘要: The surgical treatment of tumors and tumorlike lesions bone involves a multidisciplinary team approach. Workup begins with detailed history, physical exam, imaging. Biopsy obtaining an accurate histologic diagnosis is important step in the ability to definitively surgically manage these lesions. Surgical resection principles adequate margins are aspects being able obtain local control. Limb-sparing largely employed if neurovascular structures can be preserved level function maintained. Tumor grade location dictate type excision required, mechanical, chemical, thermal adjuncts further reduce risk recurrence low-grade or benign tumors. High-grade some aggressive require wide excision, various reconstruction options, such as endoprosthesis alloprosthetic composites, used help restore function. Special anatomic considerations (axial skeleton) make challenging. Ultimately provides unique challenges for surgeons, advances imaging, techniques, prosthetic design, adjuvant treatments have continued assist surgeons improving functional outcomes.
