摘要: Both compulsive buying (CB) and pathological gambling (PG) have been proposed as members of a spectrum disorders related to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The hypothesis originated in the early 1990s has gained considerable support, despite lack empirical evidence. Interest this become critical because some investigators recommended creation new category that includes these DSM-5, now under development. In article, authors describe origin (OC) its theoretical underpinnings, review both CB PG, discuss data support against an OC spectrum. are described terms their history, definition, classification, phenomenology, family pathophysiology, clinical management. conclude that: (i) PG probably not OCD, there is insufficient evidence place them within DSM-V; (ii) should stay with impulse-control (ICDs); ( iii) diagnosis be created classified ICD.
