摘要: OBJECTIVE: Discontinuation of growth hormone (GH) therapy on completion linear may adversely affect bone mineral density (BMD) in young adults with childhood-onset GH-deficiency (GHD). In the present study, we analyzed impact GH treatment GHD. METHODS: BMD at lumbar spine (L2-L4), total hip, and body was measured baseline after 24 months a cohort (18-25 years; n=160) severe GHD treated during childhood who were randomized to (n=109) or no (n=51) multicenter, multinational, open-label study. starting doses (0.2 mg/day (males), 0.4 (females)) increased 1 month 0.6 (males) 0.9 (females) then 1.0 1.4 3 for remainder RESULTS: After months, had significantly more GH-treated patients than controls (6 vs 2%; estimated difference; 3.5% (95% confidence interval, 1.52-5.51) P<0.001). also significant positive effect hip (P=0.015). Total unchanged from (P=0.315). CONCLUSIONS: GHD, there is beneficial continued adult life. Twenty-four these associated an greater increase compared controls.
