摘要: Nitric oxide (NO) acts as an autacoid molecule that diffuses from its endothelial production site to the neighboring muscular cells. NO-donors are often used mimic physiological effects of NO in biological systems. Organic nitrates commonly NO-donors; most popular, glycerol trinitrate (GTN), has been therapy for more than a century. Carnitine have synthesized using endogenous non-toxic molecule: (L)-carnitine. The biotransformation carnitine nitro-derivatives fluids (saliva and blood plasma) red cells (RBC) monitored by electrochemical assay interaction with plasma membrane transporter investigated. Differences way metabolized transported OCTN2 modulated chemical structures length acyl template which carries nitro-group.
