摘要: This study investigated the effects of levels supplementation with maize grain and herbage allowance (HA) on grass intake, animal performance grazing behaviour in two replicated experiments Angus beef cattle Argentina. In Experiment 1, response to increasing HA (2·5, 5·0 7·5 kg DM 100 kg−1 live weight (LW) d−1 without 0·5 kg LW d−1) was investigated. 2, responses level offered (0, 0·5 1·0 kg at an 2·5 kg LW d−1 5·0 kg were assessed. soyabean meal added control crude protein concentration diet. Two methods used for intake estimations: pre- post-feeding mass difference, use n-alkane 13C technique. The latter predicted most accurately metabolizable energy requirements calculated from weights liveweight gain attained each treatment both experiments. Increasing significantly increased (P < 0·01), general quadratic relationships between these variables could be fitted across despite differences pasture characteristics. amount reduced time, but digestibility Substitution rate 1 not affected by 2. These will aid development management models Argentinean conditions.
