摘要: Phloem loading, the active accumulation of photosynthate in minor veins, is thought to be motivating force for translocation. Can loading take place along an entirely symplastic route, through plasmodesmata, from mesophyll phloem? Transport small molecules plasmodesmata apparently passive, and concept phloem thus appears violate thermodynamic principles. Nonetheless, evidence such a pathway many plants has been accumulating steadily answer argument put forward. The proposed mechanism involves synthesis trapping raffinose stachyose phloem.
