摘要: Liver diseases are highly prevalent in the general dog population, though etiology is often unknown. Recently a homolog of human hepatitis C virus was discovered dogs with respiratory infections. Although this canine hepacivirus (CHV) detectable some liver samples, clear link disease has not been established. A recent study by Bexfield et al. showed that large cohort from UK idiopathic hepatitis, no evidence can be found for exposure to, or carrier state CHV both and serum. The authors however 'the absence infection on might represent global ecology virus'. We investigated CHV-infection 267 biopsies 120 135 control animals, population Netherlands. Using sensitive PCR assay CHV-NS3, detected all samples. Our data show lack association between chronic limited to UK, but also an independent European continent.
