摘要: All artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs), recommended by the World Health Organization, are 3-day regimens. A considerable level of non-compliance on ACTs has been reported from some countries. The study aimed to assess therapeutic efficacy single dose treatment with new generation ACT containing artemisinin plus naphthoquine. An oral eight tablets (400 mg naphthoquine+1000 artemisinin) drug was administered adult uncomplicated falciparum malaria patients. Observations fever, parasite clearance and reappearance, other clinical manifestations were made Days 0, 1, 2, 3, 7, 14, 21 28. Fifty-three positive cases, fever or history within previous 24 h, included in final evaluation study. Mean time, time 18.2+/-8.6 h 34.6+/-14.3 respectively. Adequate parasitological response achieved 52 rate being 98.1% (95% CI, 91.1-99.9). One patient classified as late failure because reappearance Day 14. well tolerated no adverse reactions detected Since it is a therapy, health workers can administer directly observed treatment.
