摘要: Initial susceptibility measurements as a function of frequency and field have been made on two samples polycrystalline gadolinium in the range 200–296 °K at frequencies 20–200 Hz fields 2–25 Oe. Both exhibited thermal hysteresis both real imaginary susceptibilities between 260 290 °K. The absorption was more sensitive to than dispersion by factor 5. nature ‐ temperature surface delineated for components. A driven oscillator model failed account dependence susceptibility, failure being qualitatively similar that observed results obtained holmium.
