摘要: Abstract A bench-scale study on swine manure stabilization for odour control was conducted using batch aeration reactors. In trial 1, two lengths, i.e., 0.5 and 4.0 day, were used under uncontrolled ambient temperature that increased gradually over the experimental period. While in 2, a 16.0-day scheme employed constant 17 °C. An airflow rate of 1.2 L/s/m 3 both trials to aerate reactors containing finishing pig with initial total solids (TS) levels ranging from 4.0%. Manure during 90-day post-treatment storage evaluated by changes organic materials, nitrogen volatile fatty acids (VFA). The generation potential treated determined VFA. Up 827 mL liquid lost due related foaming. reductions (TVS), 5-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD 5 ), Kjeldahl (TKN) VFA improved when length increased. Low offered more advantageous circumstance control. Biodegradation matter, removal nitrogen, breakdown would increase increasing temperature. removals higher than those 0.5- 4.0-day aeration; however, regeneration started exceed its consumption day 20 (4 days after treatment). BOD best estimate concentration aerated storage. sufficient stabilize effectively assuage conditions.
