摘要: Immobilization of microorganisms for application in fermentation processes generates bioparticles whose mechanical properties can be greatly improved if they are subjected to a hardening process. In this work, the immobilization Saccharomyces cerevisiae K-carrageenan and their treatment with Al(NO3)3 as agent have been optimized. The effect several factors studied, including cell concentration gel, hardener, time contact latter bioparticles. repeated batch experiments, factorial design technique has employed, reaching high values productivity good retention particles matrix. Once optimal conditions were selected, continuous experiments realized, which hardened beads showed significant advantages, such increase 20% ethanol productivity, better evacuation gas from reactor, higher retention.
