摘要: Abstract We study the formation of mitral vortex ring during early diastolic filling in a patient-specific left ventricle using direct numerical simulation. The geometry is reconstructed from Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). heart wall motion modeled by cell-based activation methodology, which yields physiologic kinematics with rate equal to 52 beats per minute. show that structure consists main and trailing tubes, originate at wall. tubes play an important role exciting twisting circumferential instability modes ring. At end diastole, impinges on intraventricular flow transitions weak turbulent state. Our results can be used help interpret analyze three-dimensional in-vivo measurements obtained MRI.
