摘要: Abstract Antibodies to gangliosides were detected in sera from three of 19 patients with chronic inflammatory polyneuropathy (CIP) by a thin-layer chromatogram overlay technique. All the fell into clinical subset group that had multifocal motor neuropathy, and all antibodies reacted G M1 ganglioside. However, fine specificities differed as demonstrated cross-reactivity different each patients. The patient 1 , D1b asialo-G suggesting terminal Gal(β1–3)GalNAc moiety is common these glycolipids an important part epitope(s). This was confirmed showing reactivity conjugated bovine serum albumin. Patient 2 did not react but cross-reacted M2 ganglioside epitope(s) involved inner portion oligosaccharide shared between . 3 they cross-react either or These results provide further evidence for relationship nerve syndromes anti-G also suggest could be principal target antigen since other reactive among possible pathogenic effects on nerves remain established.
