摘要: High titers of antibodies directed against gangliosides, especially GM1, are found in the serum patients with a variety polyneuropathies, including those inflammatory type. We assayed anti-GM1 IgG and IgM levels cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) 23 Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) 10 chronic demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) to investigate whether this immune response may also be localized within intrathecal compartment correlate clinical parameters such as time interval since disease onset, disability score, preceding infectious episodes, GM1 therapy. When compared control group, was increased 39% GBS 10% CIDP patients, whereas elevated 17% none patients. In both patient groups, however, antibody were more frequently CSF than paired sera: they belonged class 48% 50% 55% inversely correlated elapsed between sample collection onset (P < 0.05), positively loss functional ability 0.005). Increased not associated or serological evidence antecedents nor previous treatment.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
