摘要: In the kidney, vitamin C is reabsorbed from glomerular ultrafiltrate by sodium-vitamin cotransporter isoform 1 (SVCT1) located in brush border membrane of proximal tubules. Although we know that levels decrease with age, adaptive physiological mechanisms used kidney for reabsorption during aging remain unknown. this study, an animal model accelerated senescence (SAMP8 mice) to define morphological alterations and aging-induced changes expression transporters renal tissue. Aging induced significant changes, such as periglomerular lymphocytic infiltrate congestion, kidneys SAMP8 mice, although no increase collagen deposits was observed using 2-photon microscopy analysis second harmonic generation. The most characteristic histological alteration dilation intracellular spaces basolateral region tubule epithelial cells. Furthermore, a combination laser microdissection, qRT-PCR, immunohistochemical analyses allowed us determine SVCT1 specifically increased tubules outer strip medulla (segment S3) cortex S2) these also express GLUT1. We conclude modulates transporter over-expression enhances aged animals may synthesize less C. J. Cell. Physiol. 232: 2418-2426, 2017. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
