摘要: Aquaporin-4 (AQP4), the main water channel of brain, is highly expressed in animal glioma and human glioblastoma situ. In contrast, most cultivated cell lines don’t express AQP4, primary cultures lose it during first passages. Accordingly, C6 cells RG2 cells, two rat, SMA mouse lines, we found no AQP4 expression. We confirmed an loss after a few RG-2 if grafted into brain developed This led us consider possibility expression depends on microenvironment. previous studies, observed that typical morphological conformation as orthogonal arrays particles (OAP) depended extracellular matrix component agrin. this study, showed for time implanted negative or flank to specifically intracerebral gliomas but neither extracranial nor gliomas. went along with OAP loss, compared normal tissue. staining vivo normally polarized astrocytic endfoot membranes at glia limitans superficialis perivascularis, tumors redistributed over whole glioblastoma. rat astrocytes culture did not their ability they were able form OAPs.
