摘要: The effect of ethanol consumption on serum concentration alpha-tocopherol, erythrocyte activities superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and catalase were studied in 34 male alcoholics 35 age-matched controls. Serum alpha-tocopherol was 30% lower the as compared to controls (p less than 0.001). No significant difference found Cu-Zn-containing or between groups. Of 12 with subnormal 50% had concomitant neurological clinical scores cerebellar atrophy, their significantly higher (82%) for normal levels 0.03). However, no correlation observed atrophy. When entering study, each randomized into two separate groups, receiving vitamin E supplementation (100 mg/day) placebo capsules 10 days, respectively. In four subgroups, increased only (23%) reduced may be normalized by supplementation.
