摘要: Danshen, the root and rhizome of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge, a Traditional Chinese Medicine, especially for cardiovascular cerebrovascular diseases, has unique immunomodulatory effects. Danshen is capable anti-inflammation antiallergy, which are immunosuppressive activities, whereas it also able to promote immunity against cancer, viruses, bacteria. Most previous reports were performed with use purified compound or compounds Danshen. Since there more than twenty active in very difficult predict that one will act same way when combined other compounds. In order overcome this limitation, we used crude form study its effects mouse model. The mice fed daily diet supplements three months then tested their immunity, including leukocyte subsets peripheral blood, humoral cell-mediated immune responses, host defenses Listeria monocytogenes (LM) infection. Different doses caused different at 0.5% decreased serum IgE production BALB/c mice; 1% promoted immunity; 0.5 inhibited oxygen free radicals liver spleen NO liver; 2% enhanced resistance LM increased numbers monocytes natural killer (NK) cells IL-1β NO.
