Subglottic adenoid cystic carcinoma mistaken for asthma

摘要: Adenoid cystic carcinoma rarely occurs within the subglottic larynx. In this study, a case of adenoid was reported. A 54 year-old Chinese woman developed sudden onset chest distress and cough worsening after physical exertion, diagnosed with, treated as, bronchial asthma. Regular anti-asthmatic therapy did not improve symptoms. Until dyspnea, cervicothoracic computerized tomography (CT) revealed that her upper airway obstructed by laryngeal tumor. The patient with complete surgical excision adjuvant radiation therapy.
