摘要: In the last decade, several studies have proven that when at low concentration reactive oxygen species (ROS) show an adaptive beneficial effect and posited idea they can be utilized as inexpensive convenient inducers of tissue regeneration. On other hand, recent discovery cancer cells are more sensitive to oxidative damage paved way for their use in selective killing tumor cells, sensors monitor ROS production during treatment under extensive investigation. Nevertheless, although ROS-activated signaling pathways well established, less is known about mechanisms underlying switch from anabolic a cytotoxic response. Furthermore, high variability biological response observed between different modalities administration, cell types, donor ages, eventual concomitant diseases, external microenvironment. available preclinical scarce, whereas quest most suitable systems vivo delivery still elusive. new strategies control temporal pattern release need developed, if considering tumorigenic potential. This review initially discusses action potential application stem biology, engineering, therapy. It then outlines state art ROS-based drugs identifies challenges faced translating research into clinical practice.
