摘要: An optical waveguide is constructed so as to comprise a non-solid core layer surrounded by solid-state material, wherein light can be transmitted with low loss through the layer, and an electrical component in fluid communication layer. The controls movement of sample material core. wave guide provides confinement structured dielectric materials. A presently preferred implementation invention employs anti-resonant reflecting waveguides (ARROWs or ARROW). Liquid-core may also implemented using other methods where layers are periodic, such Bragg mirrors, holey photonic crystal fiber, omniguides.
