摘要: Abstract Background Sliding-scale insulin has been widely used in treating inpatient hyperglycemia. A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was conducted to evaluate the efficacy possible adverse effects sliding-scale hospitalized patients. Methods PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Scopus, ClinicalTrials.gov registry were searched for studies published up May 2015. Individual effect sizes standardized, a performed calculate pooled size using random models. Results Eleven RCTs containing total 1322 patients identified. Among eight which RISS compared with other regimens, no significant difference observed percentage who achieved mean blood glucose level between two groups, determined according numbers samples (RR: 2.84; 95% CI: 0.94 8.59) 1.75; 0.86 3.55). The (weighted difference = 27.33, 14.74 39.92) incidence hyperglycemic events significantly higher group than non-sliding-scale group. No severe hypoglycemia length hospitalization groups Conclusions overall results indicated that applying alone or combination antidiabetic medications did not provide any benefits control, but accompanied by an increased events. Therefore, we suggest use be discontinued hospitals.
