Thermomechanical finite element analysis of slider–disk impact in magnetic storage thin film disks

摘要: Oblique impact of a slider with rotating disk in hard drive was analyzed using the finite element method. A three dimensional, thermomechanical, model developed to study mechanical and thermal response during spherical corner disk. The validated by comparing results analytical solutions for homogeneous glass substrate Impact penetration, stress incurred flash temperature were obtained various normal velocities. effects material layers on also investigated introducing different properties thicknesses. It found that rounded critical velocity 0.03 m/s studied this work, have insignificant small but predictable temperature.
