Identification of the rpmF-plsX-fabH genes of Rhodobacter capsulatus

摘要: The rpmF-plsX-fabH gene cluster of Rhodobacter capsulatus homologous to that Escherichia coli was identified. rpmF encodes ribosomal protein L32, plsX plays an undefined role in membrane lipid synthesis, and fabH β-ketoacyl-acyl carrier synthase III. R. complemented a defect E. strain with the plsX50 mutation. Overproduction product resulted dramatically increased III activity. These results indicate apparently function same as coli.
