摘要: The effect of risperidone on polydipsia-hyponatremia was evaluated in six hospitalized schizophrenic patients. normalized diurnal weight gain (NDWG), urine-specific gravity (USG), urine and plasma osmolarity, serum sodium were monitored during 9 months treatment. dose (mean +/- SD=8.0 1.0, range=6-9 mg/day) determined as approximately half the haloperidol-equivalent previous neuroleptics. Before treatment, mean (+/- SD) BPRS score 23.5 7.1; no significant improvement observed after (22.0 7.5). subjects showed relatively high prolactin before treatment SD=16.5 9.7 ng/mL), that not significantly decreased by (14.2 7.9 ng/mL). monthly means NDWG USG 5.5 1.5 (%) 1.002 0.001, respectively. These other indices did improve throughout study period. Although sample size is small, our preliminary data might be effective
