摘要: ABSTRACTIntroduction: Pertussis is a highly contagious disease of the respiratory tract which caused by bacterium Bordetella pertussis and most severe in those <1 year age. A vaccine against pertussis, introduced 1950’s, led to significant decrease incidence disease, but recent increases outbreaks have been attributed insufficient uptake, suboptimal protection conferred vaccines, waning immunity after immunization.Areas covered: In this review we discuss major challenges for controlling what believe best strategies are overcome these challenges, focusing on immunization Europe, with recommendations that relevant worldwide.Expert commentary: To provide maximum coverage propose schedule incorporates infants, preschoolers, adolescents, adults, pregnant women. Uptake vaccines may also vary between populations due variety causes, including hesitancy ...
