摘要: Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are frequently marked by symptoms consistent with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), namely inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Recent work has established that about half of the ASD population also meets diagnostic criteria for ADHD, although comorbid diagnoses precluded DSM-IV-TR. Individuals co-occurring ADHD more severely impaired, significant deficits seen in social processing, adaptive functioning, executive control. Children prone to motor problems, which lead especially poor outcomes. demonstrated high rates a subset children ADHD. Medication studies have efficacy methylphenidate, atomoxetine, guanfacine, among others, treating ASD. However, these effects were not as great those when primary they less well-tolerated population.
