摘要: Water-soluble and non-aggregating gold nanoclusters (AuNCs) were obtained by modification of the AuNCs with dithiothreitol (DTT) then coating them carboxylated chitosan. This process remarkably enhances dispersibility DTT-coated in water. The resulting AuNCs, on photoexcitation at 285 nm, display strong red emission a maximum 650 nm 23% quantum yield. Fluorescence is strongly selectively suppressed presence 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP). Photoluminescence drops linearly 0.1–100 μM 6-MP concentration range, detection limit this assay 0.1 μM. Other features modified include decay time 8.56 μs, 365 nm Stokes shift, good colloidal stability, ease chemical modification, low toxicity. Conceivably, these NCs may find range applications biological imaging optical sensing.
