摘要: Feeding intolerance (FI) is usually defined as “gastric residual volume of more than 50 % the previous feeding volume, emesis, abdominal distension or both these symptoms and a decrease, delay discontinuation enteral feedings.” We aimed to compare incidence FI in preterm infants fed with powdered liquid infant formula, prospective, double-blind, pilot study, 78 were randomized receive form same formula. The primary outcomes groups. pH gastric fluids was measured fasting postprandial periods on seventh day life, gastrointestinal complications recorded during hospitalization period. significantly higher formula (n = 34) when compared (n = 44) [9 (26.5 %) vs 2 (4.5 %), p < 0.01, respectively]. median fluid lower (2.9 3.4, p < 0.01 6.0 5.9, p < 0.05 respectively). Infants regained birth weight later (9.5 8.0 days, p < 0.01). Conclusion: Although exact mechanisms are not clear, increased delayed growth first weeks life might be caused by altered acidity possible disrupted protein bioavailability due different production sterilization processes.
