摘要: The eosinophil is a fully delineated granulocyte that disseminates throughout the bloodstream to end-organs after complete maturation in bone marrow. While presence of eosinophils not uncommon even healthy individuals, these granulocytes play central role inflammation and allergic processes. Normally appearing smaller numbers, higher levels peripheral blood or certain tissues typically signal pathologic process. Eosinophils confer beneficial effect on host by enhancing immunity against molds viruses. However, tissue-specific elevation eosinophils, particularly respiratory system, can cause variety short-term symptoms may lead long-term sequelae. often more commonly encountered disease processes, such as asthma responses upper tract. They are also integral pathology less common diseases including eosinophilic pneumonia, bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, drug reaction with eosinophilia systemic symptoms. be seen neoplastic disorders occupational exposures as well. involvement pulmonary processes affect method diagnosis selection treatment modalities. By analyzing complex interaction between its environment, which includes signaling molecules tissues, different therapies have been discovered created order target at cellular level. Innovative treatments mepolizumab benralizumab will discussed. purpose this article further explore topic presence, activity, tract, well discuss current future options through detailed literature review.
