摘要: This article examines the livelihoods and experiences of local people after two decades living close to a strict protected area (PA). A total 290 PA neighbors 60 key informants were interviewed. Findings reveal limited access assets low incomes. An average neighbor earns US$0.5 per adult equivalent unit (AEU)/day. proximity is associated with lower incomes, mainly because wildlife damages that cost an household (HH) up 10% its annual income.
