摘要: Abstract The prophage λclts857 induction test with Escherichia coli K12 envA uvrB as the lysogen has been successfully applied to screening of sparingly water-soluble carcinogens that have dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide and metabolically activated liver enzymes induced either Aroclor 1254 or phenobarbital. Growth noninduced lysogenic cells during was suppressed ampicillin, resultant increase sensitivity test. maximum inducing activity observed about 50% complete level attained did not require metabolic activation. High achieved use strain. In several instances where Ames Salmonella-microsome failed confirm carcinogenicity respective carcinogens, this provided a better correlation.
