摘要: The distribution of the sampling effort current faunistic data on butterflies in Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands has been analysed, using 10 50 km UTM grids. number records database ATLAMAR1 was selected as unit. Three approaches were attempted to evaluate geographic coverage data: First, based criteria minimal conditions. Second, indirect estimators derived from 25 x squares whose butterfly fauna is believed be well sampled. Finally, accumulation curves used completeness knowledge squares. different broadly coincident indicating an adequate degree for 6.8% squares, 62.3% Approximately one third territory characterised by a remarkable scarcity records. This especially true some regions, namely Galicia, Castilla-La Mancha inland Andalusia. results provide reliable objective basis subsequent work diversity, biogeography conservation within area.
