摘要: The treatment of large and giant paraclinoid carotid artery (CA) aneurysms often requires the use suction decompression for safe effective occlusion. Both open endovascular techniques have been described previously. In this article authors describe a revised technique that provides several advantages in CA aneurysms. A 51-year-old woman presented with relatively brief history progressive visual loss right eye, nonspecific headache, an afferent pupillary defect. After angiography studies had obtained, it was determined she internal aneurysm dome size approximately 26 mm on neck diameter 10 mm. modified performed which used. With aid No. 7 French Concentric balloon guide catheter (Concentric Medical, Inc., Mountain View, CA) application temporary clip distal to aneurysm, trapped decompressed using retrograde through when inflated. satisfactory placement three permanent clips, intraoperative angiogram obtained same confirmed patency. then punctured aspirated, ensuring complete occlusion sac reconstruction parent vessel. patient made excellent recovery did not suffer any complications. She experience worsening her vision. This technical modification allows potential advantages, including higher volume ability deliver devices arterial locations.
