摘要: Abstract Phase pure thin film Bi 2 Ti O 7 photoelectrodes were produced by aerosol assisted chemical vapour deposition at 600 °C for the first time. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that as-deposited films amorphous in nature; however, post-deposition annealing 12 h significantly increased crystallinity to give phase . Scanning electron microscopy revealed had a cauliflower-like structure with features ranging from 0.5 1.0 μm size. It was found post-annealing step sintered together reducing pores and giving rise larger of 1.0–2.0 μm Optical studies direct band gap 2.74 eV. The photoelectrochemical properties tested it electrodes exhibited photocurrent density 1.8 μA cm −2 0.23 V vs. Ag|AgCl. Results is an attractive material water splitting.
