User acceptance of web-based subscription databases: extending the technology acceptance model

摘要: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors affecting user acceptance Web-based subscription databases. Considering reported underutilization databases and importance promoting them, aimed provide a better understanding determinants based on well-established theoretical foundation. This tested an integrated model antecedents consequents beliefs toward intended use by extending TAM, which is one most prominent models used explain effects users' internal attitudes their system usage behavior. This employed cross-sectional field using Web survey method. targeted undergraduate students who have experience provided University Libraries. A final sample 121 responses analyzed. measurement structural were Partial Least Squares. Overall, research found be effective in explaining results data analysis showed that perceived usefulness had stronger effect than ease use, suggesting depends primarily utility they offer.
