摘要: Sirex noctilio F. (Siricidae: Hymenoptera) is one of the most serious invasive pests pine. In South Africa, there has been a national effort to control S. noctilio, including campaign increase awareness pest amongst local forestry community. 2 We considered impacts that arrival and have had on perceptions knowledge as well other pests, members 3 For data collection, survey questionnaire was developed used in telephone interviews. 4 The results obtained present study showed increased general but basic regarding identification symptoms specific such poor. This will negatively influence monitoring efficacy. 5 Traditional paper-based media personal contact contributed enhanced awareness. Electronic were less effective improvement would require more focused effort. It concern private farmers contractors, non-European first language speakers, informed about pests. 6 Clearly, fragmented landscape terms ownership language, presents challenges for communication threats.
