摘要: This paper presents a transdisciplinary multiple-case study, set in Switzerland, that was part of the European Fifth Framework Program project VISULANDs—Visualization Tools for Public Participation Managing Landscape Change (2003–2005). The sought production new visualization tools enabling public participation landscape management. In cooperation with workshop participants, researchers constructed three-dimensional (3-D) visualizations to represent various scenarios change. planning objective develop sustainable solutions landscape-related problems tourism, agriculture, and forestry. Two case studies produced implemented results. research analyze effectiveness as tool workshops external local stakeholders. illustrates how interactive construction different types may contribute on regional scales through knowledge construction, dialogue, consensus building.
