摘要: PET/CT is an advanced imaging modality that becoming more commonly used in veterinary medicine. It most to image patients with cancer, and the frequently radiopharmaceutical F-18 FDG. FDG a glucose analog highlights areas of increased metabolism on PET images. CT images provide excellent anatomic depiction aid interpretation data. Many types cancer are hypermetabolic scans, but normal structures inflammation also hypermetabolic, so knowledge cytologic or histopathologic evaluation lesions essential.
