摘要: The identification of leptin and a range novel anorectic orexigenic peptides has focussed attention on the neural circuitry involved in genesis food intake reflex control thermogenesis. Here, neurotropic virus pseudorabies been utilised conjunction with immunocytochemical localisation variety neuroactive receptors to better define pathways rat hypothalamus directed polysynaptically major thermogenic endpoint, brown adipose tissue. Infected neurones were detected initially stellate ganglion, then spinal cord followed by appearance third-order premotor brainstem hypothalamus. Within these present paraventricular nucleus, lateral hypothalamus, perifornical region, retrochiasmatic nucleus. At slightly longer survival times virus-infected appeared arcuate nucleus dorsomedial Neurones adjacent which project tissue express cocaine- amphetamine-regulated transcript, pro-opiomelanocortin receptors. site traditionally associated promotion feeding, large numbers contained melanin-concentrating hormone orexin A B. These data provide part an anatomical framework subserves regulation energy expenditure.
