摘要: Differential effectiveness of treatments across subgroups defined by pretreatment variables are increasing interest, particularly in the expanding research field pharmacogenomics. When variable is difficult to obtain or expensive measure, but can be assessed at end study using stored samples, nested case-control and case-cohort methods used reduce costs large efficacy trials with rare outcomes. Case-only even more efficient, reliable under a range circumstances.
