摘要: A model is developed for the kinetics of nucleation and growth methane bubbles in hydrogen attack carbon steel. It concluded that at high temperatures time to incubate fissuring along grain boundaries determined by rate iron diffusion away from microscopic growing bubbles. At lower and/or higher pressures supply limiting. The equations fit observed incubation times if bubble density (~107/cm2) essentially independent temperature (T) pressure (P) over a wide range. postulated number limited rates (lowT highP) starvation. hiT lowP chemisorption solid-vapor surface energy or fine inclusions are required aid nucleation. quantitative analysis these processes leads several predictions which can be checked experimentally.
