摘要: Osteoporosis is characterized by a low bone-mineral density associated with skeletal fractures. The decrease in the consequence of an unbalanced bone-remodeling process, higher bone resorption than formation. orchestration process under control most abundant cell bone, osteocyte. Functioning as endocrine cell, osteocytes are also source soluble factors that not only target cells on surface, but distant organs. Therefore, any drugs targeting osteocyte functions and signaling pathways will have major impact process. This review discusses potential advances drug therapy for osteoporosis, including novel osteocyte-related antiresorptive anabolic agents may become available coming years.
