摘要: During the late stages of seed development, embryo patterning program is completed and maturation initiated. One main events during phase acquisition dormancy, characterized by failure a normally developed to germinate precociously. Dormancy controlled complex regulatory mechanism that involves phytohormone gibberellin (GA) transcription factor FUSCA3 (FUS3). Here, we demonstrate importance previously GA regulator EFFECTOR OF TRANSCRIPTION2 (AtET2) for correct development. We show entering phase, seeds et2-1 mutant, which contain non-functional AtET2 gene, fail induce dormancy. This correlates well with observed activity pattern promoter, active in maturing embryo. action development dependent on interaction FUS3 latter evidenced phenotypes fus3-T double mutant. vitro expressed protein can bind both linear supercoiled DNA without any obvious sequence preference. suggests that, within larger complex, might be required positioning upon DNA.
