摘要: Background The association between expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), epidermal receptor (EGFR), and the long-term outcomes in treated nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) was studied. Methods Expression COX-2, VEGF, EGFR by immunohistochemical (IHC) staining assessed 128 patients with NPC. Overall survival (OS), disease-free (DFS), locoregional control, distant metastasis-free rates were compared for different levels each marker. Multivariate analysis Cox regression model. Results Median follow-up after radiation therapy ± chemotherapy 116 months. Univariate multivariate analyses demonstrated that EGFR, clinical stage all independent predictors OS, DFS, metastasis–free rates. Conclusions High adverse prognostic factors nonmetastatic NPC stage. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Head Neck, 2013
