摘要: Abstract Background The rate of insignificant prostate cancer (IPCa) is increasing. Objectives To examine three end points in patients with a single, positive core and no high-grade (PCa) at biopsy, namely (1) clinical IPCa radical prostatectomy (RP), defined as organ-confined PCa Gleason score 6 or lower tumor volume Design, Setting, Participants Retrospective analysis 209 men one biopsy showing lower. Measurements : Detailed RP data were used multivariable logistic regression models. Their bias-corrected accuracy estimates quantified using the area under curve (AUC) method. Results Limitations At RP, was present 28 (13.4%) pathologically unfavorable PCa, 7 higher non-organ-confined reported 70 (33.5%) men; when 8 considered, proportion fell to 11%. Our models predicting different categories had an between 56% 68% for versus 65.1% 66.1% 61.7% nomograms Kattan et al Nakanishi al, respectively. are not applicable screening because they originate from referral population. Conclusions Despite highly favorable features, 11% 33% only minority confirmed IPCa. Neither clinically nor features could be predicted sufficient decision making.
