摘要: Reserve (or field) growth, which is an appreciation of total ultimate reserves through time, a well-recognized phenomenon, particularly in mature petroleum provinces. The importance forecasting reserve growth accurately province made it necessary to develop improved functions, and critical review the original Arrington method was undertaken. During five-year (1992–1996), gave 1.03% higher than actual oil whereas proposed modified value within 0.3% therefore accepted for development models. USGS 1995 National Assessment 39.3% 33.6% lower gas growths, new model based on Modified 11.9% 29.8% growths. models forecast predict growths 4.2 billion barrels (2.7%) 30.2 trillion cubic feet (5.4%) conterminous U.S. next five years (1997–2001).
