摘要: The remotor muscle of the second antenna American lobster is functionally divided into two parts. One part produces slow, powerful contractions and used for postural control. other very brief twitches, can follow frequencies over 100/sec without fusion probably sound production. This great speed due, in part, to synchronous arrival nerve impulses at multiple terminals, a membrane electrical response continuity throughout large volumes sarcoplasm. Calculations indicate that extensive sarcoplasmic reticulum responsible rapid decline tension this muscle.
