摘要: The aim of this study was to determine the protective effect quercetin, epigallocatechingallate, resveratrol, and rutin against disruption epithelial integrity induced by indomethacin in Caco-2 cell monolayers. Indomethacin decreased transepithelial electrical resistance increased permeability monolayers fluorescein-dextran. These alterations were abolished all tested polyphenols but rutin, with quercetin being most efficient. associated its capacity inhibit redistribution ZO-1 protein tight junction or rotenone, a mitochondrial complex-I inhibitor, prevent decrease occludin expression indomethacin. fact that antioxidant assayed differ their damage suggests is due ability agent induce not only oxidative stress also dysfunction.
