摘要: Peptidases, like other enzymes, generally follow Michaelis—Menten kinetics, and their reactions can be characterized by kcat, Km particularly kcat/Km. Each of these parameters may involve several steps the catalysis. The exploration elementary steps, relationship to one another overall is essential for understanding catalytic mechanism. This chapter concerns basic kinetic equations which help elucidate most important features peptidase reactions, such as acyla-tion deacylation, formation intermediates, nature rate-limiting step, isomerization enzyme-substrate complex, ionizing groups that control processes.
